Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a Counseling program to develop the skills of Assertiveness and its impact on the skills of Metacognitive Awareness in a sample of University Students with Learning Disabilities, the study sample consisted of 24 university students with Learning Disabilities Mathematics, aged (18 - 21) years, were divided into two groups (experimental and control), Metacognitive Awareness Inventory, and the scale of Assertiveness was administrated for all subjects before and after the training program, and the results showed a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group in the two measurements pre and post - Metacognitive Awareness and its eight dimensions (Declarative knowledge, procedural knowledge, Conditional knowledge.

Planning, Organizing, Monitoring, Debugging, and Evaluation) and the scale of Assertiveness and five dimensions (no reluctance and hesitation, Opmion of expression, initiative, not negative and avoidance) in the direction of dimensional measurement, as results showed a statistically significant difference mean scores between the control and experimental groups on the standard of Metacognitive Awareness and Assertiveness in the direction of the experimental group.
