Abstract EN

This article aims at studying a private roimd-topped limestone stela kept in the stores of the Oriental Museum, Durham University, UK^*\ It is registered under n° EG 588 (fig.

1-3).

Although no precise provenance is mentioned, the presence of Osiris and his titles on the stela could cautiously suggest that it might have been recovered from Abydos.

It appears to have belonged to Nefermenu, who was a member of the working community during the Ramesside era, as concluded after observing a few details of the style of art of the stela, which will be discussed throughout the study
