The museum of natural history is one of the most prominent scientific and cultural landmarks, which has an important guiding role for student and visitors about the nature of physiology and dissection of many animals living in the mountainous and desert areas surrounding the city of Mosul the efforts were made to establish it since the mid-twentieth century and and continued to develop its exhibits until 1973.
