Abstract EN

Region in the Medieval period (500-1500 A.D) by focusing on its functional classification, geographical and historical distribution and cultural significance in order to understand the deepest demographic, economic, religious and urban transformations that resulted from coming of ancient religious period to end, and beginning of the spread and mastery of Christianity and Islam in Nubia.

During this period, Nubia became a part of Mediterranean world, Arabian Peninsula and areas beyond it.

Due to that, cultural, economic, social and civilizational changes factors have become diverse, and then urbanization appeared in some regions and realization in other regions according to these transformations.
