Abstract EN

This study was conducted to identify the role of school leadership in promoting and implementing the initiative of Madinah Healthy Schools (MHS).

Using the descriptive approach, a survey of (33) items divided into (5) sections was administered to a randomly selected population sample of (353) female teachers and (142) female admin.

Findings revealed an overall high average of school leadership role in implementing the initiative.

Results have also shown the absence of any statistically significant differences that could be attributed to the working field (admin.

academic), except for those working in the areas of nutrition and medicament safety and those in direct contact with the local community, in favor of admin.

Further, there were no statically significant differences that could be attributed to school level or building type.

Some recommendations were provided to help further research the subject in question and to allow people in charge to implement the initiative.
