Abstract EN

In this paper, we studied the manufacture of the reflection and transmissions (FBG) are made by using a phase mask technique.

These phase masks consist of a polished piece of UV silica which has a diffraction grating etched to the surface.

The paper presents the phase mask technique is much low cost and simpler over other techniques, and it is an essential technique of fiber Bragg grating fabrication for (short and long) periods at 1310nm and 1550nm wavelengths.

The value of Bragg wavelength is found to be: {1326nm & 1543.46nm} at short period and {1300nm & 1540nm} at long period for {1310nm, 1550nm} wavelengths respectively.
