Abstract EN

Language profiling is one of the important aspirations of any linguistic theory.

Since Susser has defined the topic of linguistics by studying the language itself and for itself, linguistics seeks to be a universal science.

On this basis, linguistic theory should be based on universal principles that apply to as many languages as possible.

It must know the linguistic patterns and thus construct its descriptive apparatus in a manner consistent with those linguistic patterns.

This research concerned the field of linguistic profiling in linguistics, following its beginnings and developments, and then focused on the efforts exerted in this field by the Arab Linguists.
