Abstract EN

The problem of the present research could be summarized by answering the following questions : Is there intolerance among university students? Is there any relationship between intolerance and patterns of family upbringing? The research aims at identifying the level of intolerance and patterns of family upbringing and the relationship between them Intolerance scale, which was built by the researcher, was used in the study.

In addition, the scale of the patterns of family upbringing prepared by (Alhindawi et al, 2001) was adopted.

The research concludes that there is intolerance among university students and that male students are more intolerant than female students.

The results also show that there is relationship between intolerance and patterns of family upbringing.
