Abstract EN
The problem of this study was the suffering of many teachers in the secondary stages in Jordan from the problem of anxiety among students, which affect academic achievement.
The aim of this research is to identify strategies to reduce psychological anxiety among students in secondary schools in Jordan from the point of views of male and female teachers and the availability of these strategies in these schools.
The researcher adopted the descriptive approach and the statistical analytical method to describe the availability of anxiety reduction strategies.
The research community consists of all teachers in the secondary stage in Balqa Governorate.
A random sample of (349) was selected from all schools in the District.
The researcher found several results, the most important of which is the lack of strategy of cooperation with parents except the District of the southern Shouna, but the level of the other strategies was good.
The researcher also found that many of the teachers and secondary school teachers do not direct the student to do work to reduce anxiety such as Listening to music or breathing training or some exercises.
The researcher recommended the need to focus on strategies to reduce the psychological anxiety of students, especially the strategy of involving parents in understanding and combating anxiety, and also recommended the need for a work in training courses for male and felame teachers to be trained on how to combat anxiety among students.
