English Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the impact of quality costs precisely prevention, evaluation, internal failure, and external failure costs on the profitability of Jordanian trade banks.

The study was based on descriptive analytical methodology whereas data on the quality and profitability costs were collected from annual published reports and financial statements of Jordanian trade banks during (2013-2016).

The results showed significant and moral impacts on prevention, valuation, internal and external failures costs on the profitability of Jordanian trade banks, measured by return on assets, propriety rights and earnings per share.

Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommends the increase of the concentration level and interest of Jordanian trade banks in the processes and activities that contribute to the achievement of quality, and to apply the standards and metrologies of the quality in the banking services they provide, and provide services and products that meet customer's expectations, needs and desires.
