Abstract EN

The study aimed to investigate psychological and social impactssuffered by AIDS patients at the Psychological Counseling Centre at Omdurman Teaching Hospital.

The study also tends to examine the link between these impacts and some of the demographic variable.The researcher has adopted descriptive correlational method because it is the most adequate.

The population sample consists of 50 AIDS patients from both genders at the Psychological Counseling Centre at Omdurman Teaching Hospital.

The study collected data using psychological and social scale of the patients.

Descriptive and inferential statistics and SPSS were also employed for data collection and data analysis respectively.

The study concluded that there is negative correlational relationship between AIDS patients and the concomitant psychological and social effects.

Moreover, there are no differences in psychological and social effects due to age or marital status variables.

There are differences in psychological and social effects resulting from AIDS due to gender variable.
