This study aims to root interior design in Islamic house by its historical origins and trace its development.
The study followed the inductive approach methodology which starts by observations and historical description.
The study trace the environmental solutions devised by the Muslim man in planning, house building and interior design.
The study refer to that Islamic architecture wasn’t only a religious architecture but also participate in residential building and its interior design, and created logical solutions like sustainability, green interior design and contrast between in-door and out-door and provide privacy for house occupants.
Finally, the study comes to results and recommended that the globalization touch Islamic buildings in planning, architecture and interior design.
consequently, globalization is not entirely unhelpful but it shouldn’t neglect the Islamic heritage in planning, architecture and interior design.
