Abstract EN

The study aims at recognizing the direct impact of the editorial policy on new production at Radio Omdurman in the domains of: editing and production of news programs through their different forms and the problems that face the communicator beside the contradiction between the supreme media ideology and the ideology of media institution and the problems facing the media institution in integration them and the internal editorial vision of that institution.

The directives of the study:  The recognition of positive impact and negative one of the media ideology on editorial policy in the media institutions.

 Disclosing the ambiguity of editorial policy in Radio Omdurman and the extent of its effect on news production.

 The recognition of extent of beliefs and ideas pertaining the communicator on news production.

The important finding of the study:  The supreme media ideology affects directly and into big extent on the editing policy at Radio Omdurman.

 The editorial policy has its ambiguity due to the lack of the written directives.

The oral editorial policy has its direct impact on news production and its ongoing process .
