Abstract EN

Throughout the ages, human worked in writting lexicons, classifying and structuring of vocabulary, pushed to this work by the need and the evolution of life, as well as the development of the language; including subject to changes or effects, especially in this era; period of scientific, technical and cultural development, and the spreading of the historical movement, and as a result of these factors developed nations had rushed to the completion of a historical lexicon in order to save her terms and recorded her life, and be a reflection of the scientific and intellectual progress they had ever seen.

Despite of the Arabic language status between the other languages, it (Arabic) still lacks to a historical lexicon which includes its terms, styles and structures and meanings across different eras.

This push us as searchers in this endeavor to realize a project ,in which we are moving according to a plan devided into an introduction and smooth demands.At first we discuss the reasons of writing this historical lexicon, and in the second we try to visualize the structure of this lexicon, and in third we stand at the most important attempts and initiatives witnessed by the Arab arena to accomplish this project.
