Abstract EN

Studies have confirmed that psychological tests designed for the occidental cultures does not maintain acceptable levels of reliability and validity when translated «directly» to others languages and cultures, including Arabic.

Accordingly, this article deals with the aspects on which it is possible to focus on the application of tests and their adaptation.

As it also deals with objective factors that make a test established for a particular society is unable to be applied in other different societies in terms of social and cultural specificity, which requires the appeal for investment to adapt psychological measurement tools with decent and scientific manner so that they accommodate themselves to the local culture.
