The aim of this study is to know the impact of reciprocal teaching in providing students of middle east department second grade by the main skill of understanding what they read.

The population of the study consisted of all students of the same University's Middle East Studies scholar whom picked delegation (30) sampled for this study, the researcher on reading understanding skills list and test after using Reciprocal teaching was adopted as an instrument for the collection of data necessary for the study and after measuring the sincerity and consistency, the researcher used a some statistical methods of processing the data which explain that There are differences statistically significant in favor of the group that studied by reciprocal Teaching.finally researcher recommended to Prepair educational programmes that contribute to the upgrading and improvement of teaching skills of students.and use differents teaching methods and modalities of holding specialized courses and a variety of workshops.
