In the schools of Irbid governorate from the point of view of the managers themselves.

The aim of this study was to identify the degree of principals' practices of their leadership roles in the schools of Irbid Governorate from their point of view.

The study population consisted of all the school principals there.

A sample of (208) principals was selected randomly.

To achieve the objectives of the study, a valid and reliable questionnaire was designed; it consists in its final form (48) items, and was applied to the sample subjects.

The study showed the following results: The school principals have an important role in encouraging the collaborative experiences among teachers, but their roles in developing educational programs for the people were weak, no statistically significant difference (a = 0.05) was found in the total score due to the certificate impact, and there were statistically significant differences (a = 0.05) due to years of service in the total score and the differences were in favor of those who served less than 20 years.
