This study sheds light on ceramic surface printing techniques in general and ready-made prints (decal) techniques specificly.

The study suggests that ceramic printing techniques are essential tools for potters as they can express better their creative ideas in innovative fashions.

The study applied both descriptive and historical methodologies.

Accordingly, 31 models that represent different historical eras were described and analyzed.

The importance of this study stems from the need for preserving our cultural identity and spreading our traditional heritage among the grassroots through decal printed ceramics.

The study reached valuable results that would successfully contribute to the ceramic department's curriculum development at College of Fine and Applied Art.

Starting a decal printing course would revolutionize the traditional techniques of ceramic ornamentation by allowing flexibility in both techniques and surfaces.

Moreover, the introduction of ceramic printing techniques would expand the level of competence of ceramic graduates and help them build a productive and creative personality.
