This research offers a detailed analysis of the various types of linguistic deviation skillfully used by Maya Angelou -an African-American poet-in one of her poems Woman Work.
The study endeavors basically to investigate lexical, discoursal, grammatical, phonological and graphological, morphological, semantic and internal and external deviations in this poem.
This poem in particular shows how the poet's excellence at poetry.
