English Abstract

This study aims to identify the trends of kindergarten teachers in the Montessori Schools towards the use of sensorial materials in learning and education.

The study community consists of all female teachers working in pre-school kindergartens in the Modern Montessori Schools of special education in the Ministry of Education in Amman, (3 - 6) years during the academic year (2017 - 2018), and are taught by sensorial materials, and the number of teachers (40) parameter.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared the study tool (questionnaire) consisting of (30) paragraphs to measure the trends of kindergarten teachers in Montessori Schools towards the use of sensorial materials.

The results of the study showed that the degree of trends of kindergarten teachers in the Montessori schools towards the use of sensorial materials in the education process was high, as the teachers found that the use of sensorial materials is of great importance and effectiveness in developing cognitive abilities and language in children, which positively affects later stages of learning.

There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance between the average trends of kindergarten teachers in the Montessori Schools towards the use of sensorial materials in education.

Results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in the mean level between the trends of kindergarten teachers in the Montessori Schools towards the use of sensorial materials in education due to the scientific qualification.

This means that all teachers have single perceptions about the use of sensorial materials in education regardless of qualification Whether a diploma, a bachelor's or a postgraduate degree.

Results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the average trends of kindergarten teachers in the Montessori Schools towards the use of sensorial materials in education due to the years of experience, which means that the parameters are similar in conceptions regardless of the years of experience, whether their experience is long or short .
