Abstract EN
The study aimed at recognizing the reality of the teaching staff members in the Jordanian universities practice of the ethics of university work from the point of view of students, and disclosing the differences in students' estimations due to both variables of university type, and the field of specialization.
The sample of study consisted of (853) students in the university of Jordan, and Amman Al-Ahleyyah, in the academic year 2016-2017.
The study followed the descriptive approach.
A questionnaire consisted from (33) items, distributed in four domains, both accepted validity significance and reliability of the questionnaire had been realized The results had shown that reality of the teaching staff members practice of the ethics of university work (overall) came within the high degree with an average of (3.73), and three domains came within the high degree of practice, were ranked as follow : university regulations and Instructions domain with an average of (3.86), personal domain with an average of (3.85), teaching domain with an average of (3.69), while the domain of dealing techniques and the relationship with students came within the moderate degree with an average of (3.60).
In addition the results showed there were no statistically significant differences due to both variables : university type and the field of specialization, except for statistically significant differences on the domain of dealing techniques and the relationship with students attributed to the type of the university, in favor of private universities The study deduced a group of recommendations, including: recommendations of the faculty members of Jordanian universities to improve the dealing techniques and the relationship with students, on the basis that they have social, economic and psychological problems, and participation them in solving the student's problems and encouraging them, and the recommendation of public universities to activate the conduct record relating to the dealing techniques and the relationship with students.
