This study aimed at examining the possibility of applying Six Sigma approach in the school administration in Jerash Governorate from the perspective of educational principals and supervisors as well as investigating whether the applicability of the methodological principles of Six Sigma approach varies depending on the educational qualification and job title variables.

The study sample consisted of 118 principals and 26 educational supervisors in the Directorate of Education in Jerash Governorate in the first semester of the academic year 2016/2017.

The study followed the descriptive approach, whereby the researchers developed a questionnaire to measure the possibility of applying the principles of Six Sigma approach by the participating principals and supervisors in their school administration.

The tool covered six areas, whose validity and reliability were verified.

After performing the appropriate statistical analysis, the study results revealed that the principals and supervisors have varying degrees of the powers and potential necessary to the implementation of Six Sigma approach principles in their school administration.

The scores for two principles (planning and team work) were high whereas the scores for the other four principles (i.e., quality, continuous improvement, information management, and satisfaction of beneficiaries) were moderate, and the score for the tool as a whole was moderate.

The results also revealed that the possibility of applying the principles of Six Sigma approach in school administration varies in terms of job title with the difference being in favor of school principals.

On the other hand, there was no effect of the level of educational qualification on the possibility of Six Sigma application.

The study concluded with a series of recommendations that emphasized the need for training courses for principals and supervisors on Six Sigma methodological approach in school administrations and in the various education sectors.

Also, the study recommended enhancing the role and powers of school principals in establishing school-specific quality projects for his/her school as well as examining the possibility of applying Six Sigma approach for the purpose of improving the performance of teachers, curriculum, and educational supervision.
