Abstract EN
The study aimed to identify the role of extracurricular physical sports activity in reducing aggression (violence) in schools.
So, we’ve asked the following question: what is the role of extracurricular physical sports activity in schools as a treatment for school violence? In order to answer that question we’ve suggested a hypothesis which states that there is a positive role of the extracurricular sports activity in reducing violence in schools.
Thus, we’ve used the descriptive method on a sample of 419 high (secondary) school students who have been chosen randomly.
The scale of school violence has been used as a tool to the study and after processing the findings statistically using statistical analysis method, the most important results were as follows: - There are significantly statistical variations (differences) in verbal aggression among practicing students and non-practicing of extracurricular physical sports activity.
- There are significantly statistical variations (differences) in physical aggressive behavior among practicing students and non-practicing of extracurricular physical sports activity.
- There are significantly statistical variations (differences) in aggression against properties among practicing students and non-practicing of extracurricular physical sports activity.
- There are significantly statistical variations (differences) according to the variables of gender and age of practicing students of extracurricular physical sports activity.
- There are significantly statistical variations (differences) according to the variables of gender and age of non-practicing students of extracurricular physical sports activity
