Results: The majority of patients were females and account for (88%), with a mean age of 28.5 years for both sexs and the mean preoperative Body Mass Index was 46.07 kg/m².
The outcomes of gastric band were as follows, pouch dilatation 12%, Gastroesophageal reflux 7%, band slippage 2%, band migration 2%, and gastric erosion was 1.6%.
The reoperation rate for band removal was 20.0%.
