Abstract EN

This study attempts to approach models of the poetry of the 1990s in Jordan.

Its our hope to show the shift that emerged within the Jordanian poem that has transformed from expressing the national concern related to the national issues based on national tranquility that constituted a solid base for some Jordanian poets to spreading deep sense of national self concern, posing questions about the some anxieties emerging in the 1990s.

During that time, national dreams were shattered as a new painful reality emerged, especially right after the first Gulf War and signing the Peace Treaty with the historical enemy, Israel.

These events formed a huge shock which was reflected in the poetry written in the 1990s.

The study is a textual approach for a collection of poems written shortly after signing the Wadi Araba Treaty between Jordan and Israel.
