English Abstract

This work involves the chemical synthesis of a series of metal complexes have been the general production (M(L)2X2), where M = Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II).The ligand (L): 4-(4-(dimethylamino) phenyl)-2-oxo-6-(2-oxo-6-(phenyldiazenyl)-2H-chromen-3-yl)-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carbonitrile (DPOPCD).

These complexes have been prepared and characterized by ligand to metal mole ratio, molar conductance, and spectral (Uv-Visible and FT-IR) studies.

The IR spectral data propose the involvement from oxygen and nitrogen at coordination for the central metal ion.

On the resulting products, an octahedral geometry has suggested to all complexes.
