Abstract EN

The study was conducted in the molecular genetics laboratories at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah.

In order to find the similarities and genetic distance as well as fingerprint of DNA profile by RAPD-PCR for six date palm cultivars (Dalka Mousa, Dakla Hussein, Aouina Ayoub, Bubki, Awaid and Burhi Ahmar) using six RAPD random primers.

Results showed four grouping including the closest genetic distance between the Dokla Hussein and Dokla Moses followed by other cultivars.
