This paper is intended to give solid rooting for the desired role of religious T.V media in activating the Holy obligation of Zakat and reflecting its goals in the real-life of the public.

Part of media function is to shed the light on the aims of Zakat regulations and its remarkable role in the growth of Islamic economy.

Another function is to correct some practices of Zakat-donors and re activating the role of banks in a way that match both new forms of needs and new emerging types of public interests.

The research concluded that religious T.V media -until the datedid not take over its expected crucial rule in spreading an authentic awareness about that obligatory financial type of worship (Zakat).

Such a shortcoming -according to the paper- came as a result of different reasons, including: the lack of strategic and systematic procedure that standardize different forms of needs and priority of treatments, as well as raising unqualified speakers to the field of preaching, interpretation and delivering formal legal opinion
