The Malaysian researcher Ahamad Faosiy Ogunbado wrote under the title: "Impacts of Colonialism on Religions: An Experience of Southwestern Nigeria." He presents the experience of South- East Nigeria as a historical pattern in this context.
Furthermore, the researcher discusses the method how the British had dealt with both religions Islam and the local religion during the period between the nineteenth and the twentieth centuries (1861-1960).

Le chercheur Ahamad Faosiy Ogunbado redige un article intitule: "les effets du colonialisme sur les religions: Une experience du sud-west du Nigeria(Impacts ofColonialism on Religions: An Experience of Southwestern Nigeria).
Dans ce cadre, il presente l'experience du sud-ouest du Nigeria comme un modele historique.
II aborde egalement l'attitude britannique envers l'islam et la religion locale a partir du XIXe siecle jusqu'au XXe siecle (1861-1960).
