Abstract EN

The study aims to show the level of concern given by those responsible for planning and designing in administrative and service establishments in AL-Diwaniya city, in planning and designing trends which have provided evidences for their participation in improving the characteristics of Microclimatology and local climatology in dry cities.

The researcher used the purposive sample system to test the sample related to the urban designer and planner taking into consideration the age and experience.

The researcher distributed questionnair papers to (86) designers and planners, male and female.

The researcher used Delvay's taxonomy to classify the levels of concern to planning and designing trends to predict the level of concern in those trends.

The application of Delvay's style to the following: 1- The percentage of high concern trends (class A) reached (39.44%).

2- The percentage of acceptable concern trends (class B) reached (42.11%).

3- The percentage of low concern trends reached (class C) reached (18.45%).

The research sheds the light on the scientific value of the low concern orientations to show their importance for planners and designers to be considered when planning and designing the city.
