Abstract EN

The research aims to determine health awareness among of physically disabled players of basketball and non players of sports to show how good sport is for the health.

This study adopted the descriptive approach on a sample of 50 disable players of basketball on wheelchairs and disable non players of any sports activity at the provinces of Mostaganem, Saida, AinTemouchent and relizane (Algeria) through the season 2015-2016.

The tool used in the study was a measure of health awareness.

After statistical treatment, the first results showed the following: The health awareness of physically disabled players of basketball on wheelchair is higher compared to that of non players of sports activity.

Besides, there are differences at the level of health awareness between physically disabled players of basketball and non players of sports activity.
