Tremendous efforts, both single-handed and collaborative, have been done to overcome the complexity of grammar for not only learners but teachers as well.

Special attention has been devoted to specifying terminology for the new generation of learners who in return are overwhelmed by the sheer number of grammatical rules.

They get inspired much by their teaching experience, experimental expertise, and accurate observation.

Their efforts comprise grammar rules revision and amendment in diverse ways.

Some grammarians choose to impose their standards on their learners; however, others pursue alternative avenues such as dropping some elements arguing that they are just optional.

Adding to that, others have abridged rules and contributed in their teaching.

Shawky Daif’s attempt is considered as one of the most remarkable in the sense that it has contributed to a noticeable facilitation and renaissance of grammar.

The current study is aimed to highlight his grammar facilitation experiment, innovative steps, and their educational obstacles implications.
