Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the general concepts of economic development and internal tourism, and to show the reality of internal tourism in Algeria by addressing its components and obstacles, and to address the most important mechanisms for the promotion of internal tourism in Algeria in light of the implementation of create a master plan for tourism prospects in 2030, And to highlight the contribution of internal tourism to the economic development of Algeria.

The results of the study showed that there is a weak and fluctuating development of the share of internal tourism in the GDP during the period (2007 - 2017), due to the concentration of Algeria on the oil sector and neglect of other sectors, including the tourism sector.and a significant development of the contribution of internal tourism in the operation during the period (2007 - 2017), due to the increase in the number of hotels, tourist agencies and classified restaurants.

There is also a remarkable development in the number of tourists coming to Algeria during the period (2007-2017), due to the return of security and the restoration of Algeria's tourist image, which was absent for a period of time, and the political situation experienced by some Arab countries.

There is also a growing overall growth in the volume of investments in internal tourism during the period (2007-2017), due to government-mandated programs for the promotion of internal tourism, including the create a master plan for tourism prospects in 2030.
