Russell claims that our scientific knowledge, if it is to be defended against the criticisms of the skeptics must be based on solid logical basis.

He approaches the problem of our scientific beliefs in the same way as the logician does concerning mathematical problems.Bertrand Russell‘s account of belief has been the subject of my critical discussions, considering belief, as a necessary antecedent to knowledge remains controversial in the study of knowledge.

Due to this controversy concerning the thought and writing of Bertrand Russell and his accounts of belief, this essay will focus on a critical discussion of this notion.

I will argue that Russell‘s analysis of belief is ambiguous and changing.

Despite his insistence on the use of science and logic, his analysis shows many difficulties.Therefore, his logical analysis of scientific beliefs seems like a validity project that has already started and has not being finished yet.

So that mixing language with logic gives a clearer form to his analysis for his contribution to the problem of scientific beliefs
