Abstract EN

The artistic image in its general concept represents the rhetoric, as it is its tool and reflective mirror of its three styles (simile, metaphor and metonymy).

In addition, the literati added images that emerge from factual origin, far from imagination, which produced branching in the artistic image, creating the rhetoric image, the mental image and the perceptual image.

Accordingly, the perceptual image is a partial individual image in the test; it is determined from every expression causes the arousal of the recipient's sense.

Therefore, we find it when mentioning all whatever seen, heard, smelled, touched or tasted.

The poet intentionally employs the image in his poetry to make use of the beauty it adds to his work, the attraction of the reader to this beauty that stirs his passion and feelings.

It further moves the imagination and leaves a strong effect in the self.

The poet makes good use of all these to transmit his thoughts, vision and what he wants to communicate to the recipient, depending, in all this, on his culture, the imaginary talent he enjoys, and the depths of the experiences he encountered throughout his life.This research aims to underline the different senses in formulating the poet's image, and the role this image plays in explicating his meanings, thoughts and emotions; and how it led to stir the emotion and tremor in the recipient; because it realizes, with the other elements, the beauty of the poetic experience.

The researcher adopted the descriptive method, as it illustrates the percentages of each sense.

Then, the researcher will analyze these percentages depending on the texts of the poet, explaining their role in the above mentioned issues.

In this research, the perceptual image will be studied with the Abbasid Poet Ali Bin Jabala (Al-A'kkouk), so that the research will conclude the features of the artistic image with the poet, and explain the styles he employed, and what he added to them through his style and poetic talents.
