Abstract EN

The researcher proposes a multidimensional scale that measures nostalgia proneness in Kuwait and shows that the existing nostalgia proneness scale, developed by Holbrook (1993), does not capture the different dimensions of the nostalgia construct that exist in Kuwait.

The findings of EFA and CFA confirm the validity of the multidimensional model compared with the unidimensional model.

The proposed four dimensions are : (1) personal memories, (2) antiques and history, (3) beautiful past and unattractive future, and (4) homesickness and yearning for childhood periods.

This research finding has a theoretical significance for researchers who utilize nostalgic themes in their research and advertise designs in Kuwait.
