Abstract EN

The researcher examines and investigates during the study the validity of the companionship of one of the narrators of the Hadith of prophet Mohammed ( peace be upon him ).

This narrator is Zer Ben Hubaysh Abu Maryem Alasdi from Alkufa.

He is considered one of the narrators that scholars disagree among each other about his validity as a companion and narrator who conveyed stories about prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him ).

This is why the research focused on scholars varied opinions about the companionship of Zer Ben Hubaysh.

The researchers show through tracking and investigating conveyed narrations and stories that Zer Ben Hubaysh wasn’t one of sahaba (companions of Prophet Mohammad).

Moreover, The researcher applied the methods and standards of narration on Zer Ben Hubaysh, and accordingly his companionship is not valid.

The study followed descriptive analytical approach.

The result of the study shows that Zer Ben Hubaysh is not a companion.

Moreover, the study recommends the creation of an encyclopedia about narrators who are controversial with an analysis of their narrations.
