Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the role of Educational counselor in reducing the problems faces students in the Educational directorates in Hebron district from the point of view of school principals namely: (family and social, behavioral, health, educational and psychological problems).

The analytical descriptive method is used in this study.

The population of the study consisted of (411) male and female principals.

For collecting data a questionnaire of (44) items was used.

The sample size of study (47.4%).

The results indicated that the educational counselor a moderate role in reducing the problems faced students in the departments of Education in Hebron from the viewpoint of the principals in all fields of study in general ( learning problems ,psychological problems ,family and social problems).

While educational counselor was high role in the treatment of behavioral problems and health problems suffered by the students.

As it turns out that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05 ≥ α) in the role of the educational leader in reducing the problems faced students in the departments of Education in Hebron according to (gender, educational qualification, years of experience, location of the school, and the Directorate).

The study came out a number of recommendations : the appointment of a sufficient number of counselors qualified , the need to provide all the necessary facilities for Educational Advisor and do more studies to find out the bugs and the lack of educational counselor tasks , and give more freedom to educational counselors so that they can carry out their duties on the face ability, and finally enhancing the role of the educational leader in the treatment of psychological , social and educational problems of the students.
