Abstract EN

This study monitors and analyzes the vision and policies of Sheikh Zayed to empower the status of Emirati women.

The study attempts to shed light on the close relationship between the vibrant cognitive enlightenment of Sheikh Zayed and his vision and strategies for emancipation and empowerment of Emirate women to contribute equally with men in the development and modernization of UAE.

Thus the study focuses on the fundamental constituencies of Sheikh Zayed vision and philosophy that enabled him to such great achievements in recent history of UAE.

The focus of the study will be on certain personality traits of Shaikh Zayed that impacted his vision, such as: humanity, happiness, justice, equality, democracy.

The study analyzed one of the important vision and policies regarding the development and empowerment of the status of women, which is now materialized such as, the constitutionalizing rights of women in various issues i.e., encouraging and motivating women to pursue all educational levels and work, women`s participation in the decision-making circles and the expansion of women`s associations and unions.

The study reveals that many of the rights enjoyed by contemporary women, and even future strategies and plans targeting women, such as the UAE`s vision of the UAE as one of the best countries in the gender balance index by 2021, or the world`s best by 2071, This is a harvest of what Zayed planted yesterday, and in line with his approach and vision.
