Abstract EN

This article treats the topic of the feast days and religious holidays in Al- Andalus, be it the Muslim or the non- Muslim Days (Jews and Christians).

The article shows through historical documents how Muslims were tolerant with the followers of other religions; as Muslims used to prepare for, share and celebrate their Religious Days with them.

In exchange for that, the Dhimmi people, without discrimination or being harassed, were allowed and invited to share in celebrating their religious days.

This could provide us with a clear picture of the principles of open- mindedness and respect of religious diversity, which were adopted by the Muslim administration to include all the sects of society without discrimination.
