Development literature has largely agreed on the role of FDI in growth, and is an important source of diversification of income sources and plays an important role in improving income distribution through increased employment rates worldwide.

This calls on governments to be more active and to do more Of efforts to attract foreign investment.

Economic studies have proved the seriousness of the role of foreign direct investment and how its use will affect economic growth positively.

Reducing reliance on one sector, such as the petrochemical sector in Saudi Arabia, It is one of the most important economies with the wealth that makes investing in it a solid economy with sustainable growth and productivity.

The influx of foreign capital into the Saudi market over the past decade is the biggest proof that the Kingdom has become a target for foreign investment and that the market can be competitive.

The Global Competitiveness Report of the World Economic Forum 2016-2017 ranked the Kingdom in the 20th place globally in terms of ease of performance Business.

No one denies that the Saudi market needs foreign expertise to raise the efficiency of technology and skill of human cadres after finding jobs through foreign investment, which is considered an effective means to eliminate the problems of unemployment.

The current study aims to test the impact of foreign direct investment as one of the factors affecting growth in Saudi Arabia From 2000 to 2017.

The study found the importance of this investment, which affects growth rates.

Through the theoretical and quantitative study using the method of symmetric integration applied to the Saudi economy proved the lack of foreign investment as one of the factors that lead to high growth rates with the increase of foreign investment in the Kingdom in the recent period
