Abstract EN

This study aimed to know the leadership styles for the primary public school principals in the locality of Bahri and to know the level of the job satisfaction for the teachers working in those schools.

The sample of the study was consisted of (100) male and female teachers with (80 %) representation of the study population, which was chosen randomly from the study population.

For the purpose of the study, the researcher developed two tools confirming their validity and reliability according to the well-known scientific methodologies used in such cases.

The study findings were as follows: The democratic leadership style was practiced at a medium degree.

The degree of general satisfaction of the primary school teachers in the locality of Bahri was medium.There was significant positive correlation between the democratic style and the job satisfaction at (α = 0.05).

The researcher proposed the following recommendations: Activating the democratic leadership style for the primary school Principals.

Raising the general job satisfaction of teachers by caring for the reward, incentives, wage system and providing the convenient climate.

the preparation of principals through training courses and workshops in the school leadership areas before the practice.
