Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the obstacles that hinder social service students from benefiting from field training in social institutions from the point view of the students.

This study is considered a descriptive study where the researcher used the social survey method i.e.

complete census.

The study comprised all social service students in the third year level of their study and applied for the field training course in addition to the students in the fourth year level who completed field training in the Social Service Department at the Islamic University of Gaza and they counted for 108 students (males / females).

The researcher used the questionnaire tool to reveal the results of the study.

The results showed that the main obstacles that hinder the students from benefiting from field training are those related to the institution, then those related to the supervisor of the institution, and the obstacles related to the Social Service Department and finally the obstacles related to the academic supervisor and the students.

The study also found statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample according to the obstacles that hinder their benefit from field training in the social institutions according to the gender variable and the academic level in favor of (male students and fourth year students).

However, there were no statistically significant differences in the responses of the research sample according to the obstacles that hinder their benefit from the field training in the social institutions according to the variable of the cumulative average.

Finally, in light of the discussion of the results, the researcher suggested a set of recommendations.
