Due to economic development, industrialization and increasing population, problems related to the expanded consumption and depletion of resources and the generation of wideranging types of waste are becoming more serious than ever.

World waste is estimated at 1.3 billion tons, and is expected to reach 4 billion tons by the year 2100, which calls for the intensification of efforts to protect the environment, climate and public health through the efficient and effective waste management.

Previous factors mentioned have increased the attractiveness of the waste industry that becomes extremely concentrated: it can raking more than half of industry’s annual revenues in developed countries.

Consequently Sustainable Entrepreneurship found in the waste management an economic activity with environmental and social dimensions; therefore it is considered as a strategic option in sustainable development age.

This article tries to present and analyze waste management entrepreneurship with a focus on the practical approach and the reference to the case of India.
