Abstract EN
Several studies have highlighted the role that organizational skills can play in the development and sustainability of the firm.
Initially, the resources and competence approach claimed to pay close attention to the four dimensions of organizational competence: identification, protection, exploitation, and finally construction and development.
This perspective has focused on the first three dimensions (identification, protection and, to a lesser extent, exploitation) (Penrose, 1959, Wernerfelt, 1984, Teece, 1987, Amit and Schoemaker, 1993, Hamel and Prahalad, 1990, 1994).
But as regards of the fourth dimension (construction and development), the space for reflection is very little filled.
The objective of this work is to show from the managerial literature the way in which the organizational skills are developed within the firm.
The article consists of three parts.
The first seeks to give a definition relevant to the notion of organizational competence, The second part intends to briefly elucidate the issues of its construction and the last part is devoted to the various levers whether internal or external acting on the competence development.
The hypothesis taken from a hypotheticodeductive approach postulates that the internal levers are only one means among others, making it possible to develop the competences
