Abstract EN

The present study aims to identify the correlation between biomechanical characteristics of basketball three point shoot and angle of ball entry in take-off moment and release moment.

Three players performed three point shoot from end-line, each player performed (3) trails.

Results: horizontal displacements of upper body and ball are the most correlated characteristics with angle of ball entry at take-off moment.

Angular velocity and angle of hip are the most effective characteristics with angle of ball entry at take-off moment.

The momentum of hip is a basic element to obtain the necessary strength to jump in take-off moment.

Center of gravity is responsible for determining direction and speed of body during shooting at release moment.

In conclusion: wrist and elbow training is important in three point shoot, it’s important to focus on final stage of shooting, leading eye exercises are important at release moment.

Power exercises for both feet and arms are important in three point shoot.
