Therefore * it was only natural for individual citizens to adopt «or at least be affected by ‘this astray Islamic sect.

As a consequence * appeared a considerable number of men of letter and poets w'ho can be placed into two categories: The first: This category pledged allegiance to the state and it’s official sect * Shi'ism *an allegiance coupled with firm ‘unequivocal belief.

Such a belief was confined ‘in general ‘by the love.

Of the Prophet and his clan ‘leaning a little towards Shi'ism.

The second: These also pledged allegiance to the state ‘but they are pragmatists.

That is ‘they were bent on promoting their own ends solely.

This is what this study will try to elaborate m detail.
