Abstract EN

The Paper devoted its effort to discuss the role of the \ALWerraqa in the Arabic Islamic Culture during the Abbasid era .

Where emerged in Baghdad a class AL-Warraqeen were working in copying books and all kinds of letirature , which identified by Ibn – Khaldoon as it is a Process of copying , correcting , and doing all what relate to writing .

From this point , Baghdad witnessed in the third century A.H.

a large market of AL-Warraqeen , in ALghaz city , emplies more than one hundred shop after inventing paper and spreading it as a material for writing .

The research emerged the desire of the Scientests , authors and the elite of people in establishing libraries and gaining books .

It is clear to us now how the Warraqeen were the Platform for lightining , a school of enlightening , and source of spreading Science , letirature and knowledge .

The follower of the civilized and of him \her on essensial issue which is that the flourishing of scientific movement was supported and a ccompamied by men of Warraqeen who were Profissional in administrating it technically and administratively .
