Abstract EN

This study aims to release the concept of specifications and standards, portrays sources of its legitimacy from the Koran and the Sunnah, and reviews the importance as well as the reasons for Muslim jurists’ interest and manifestations of this interest.

The study concluded that the utilization of specifications and standards is authorized and that one of the duties of the State must be to nurture and grant attention to this concept given the interests protected by these specifications and standards and their impact on the development of production and the progress of societies.
