This research paper contains of Two chapters First chapter dealt with research problem, importance , goals, limits and terms .

Second chapter dealt with theoretical frame which contain five parts as follows : First one dealt with utilization of semantics.

Second dealt with the semantics in the Greek thoughts.

Third dealt with semantics in I slamic thought.

Fourth dealt with semantics Modern thought.

And the fifth chapter dealt with the use of tree in the painting of Jawad Salim.Finally , the research contains conclusions and references.
